Chillicothe junior Karter Williams, at the Fairweather Relays, broke the 30-year high jump record set by Butch Howard. Jumping a towering 6 feet 8 inches, Karter will now be put on Chillicothe's all-time record board with the highest high jump in school history. Chillicothe defeated Adena 13-3 in a five-inning game shortened by the mercy rule on Monday. Cavalier junior Eshon Brown earned the win, pitching four innings with six strikeouts and no errors. Brown added at the plate with one hit, one RBI, and a walk. James Wrinkle, Tay Harris, and Jayden Gallagher each recorded two hits for Chillicothe. Chillicothe plays Gallia Academy at VA Memorial Stadium tonight. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
