Boys XC Team Dominates SE Invite

Chillicothe High School's cross-country team delivered an impressive performance at the Aaron Reed Invitational, showcasing their depth and talent across the board.


In the Boys' 5k Run, Chillicothe athletes claimed five of the top six spots. Jayden Beverly led the way with a second-place finish, crossing the line in 17:36.94. He was closely followed by Daniel Hurff, who took third with a time of 17:42.98. Noah Flores secured fourth place with a time of 17:49.28, while Grayson Roberts and Tim Kessler rounded out the top six with finishes of 17:52.04 and 17:55.74, respectively.


The team’s performance was pivotal in their overall victory, as Chillicothe secured first place in the team standings with a total of 20 points. The team's overall time was 1:28:56.98, giving them an average time of 17:47.40 per runner. This outstanding result highlights Chillicothe's strength and unity as they continue to build momentum in the season.


Additional standout performances included David Rourke, who finished 17th with a time of 19:37.56, and Payne Huggins, who placed 20th with a time of 19:47.92. Notable mentions also go to Brigham McDaniel and Isaac Crawford, who finished 49th and 78th respectively.


Overall, Chillicothe's dominance at the invitational underscores their exceptional form and promising outlook for the remainder of the season.
