This fall, Chillicothe High School’s digital newspaper writers are featuring members of the teaching staff in the CHS Teacher Spotlight! This week, 12th grade Simone Fleurima interviewed Ms. Andrea Jenkins.
Q: What do you teach at Chillicothe High School?
A: I am teaching Cavs 101, US Government, and I am the Junior class advisor.
Q: Where did you attend high school?
A: River View High School in Warsaw, Ohio. Go Black Bears!
Q: Where did you go to college?
A: I received my Associates from Kent State Tuscarawas via our post-secondary program at River View. Then, I finished my Bachelors at the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
A: I have two dogs. Millie a German Shepherd lab mix, and Boomer a French Bulldog.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love to read, travel, and spend time with my husband and kids.
Q: What TV show do you like to watch?
A: Right now, I am really into The Challenge USA, Blood and Treasure, and my husband and I are avid Big Brother watchers.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: A three-way tie between Harry Potter the Goblet of Fire, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Tenth Kingdom.
Q: What is the last song you listened to?
A: "Learn to Fly" by the Foo Fighters.
Q: What’s your secret talent?
A: I know an absurd amount of song lyrics.
