The Lady Cavaliers' Softball team had its first home game of the season yesterday, defeating Zane Trace 7-2.

Chillicothe jumped on the score board quickly, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. CHS junior Bri Cousins was a tremendous asset at the plate with two homeruns that scored a total of four runs. Sophomore CJ Rittinger was on the mound for the Lady Cavaliers. She threw all 7 innings with 13 strikeouts.
The Lady Cavs collected a total of seven hits and seven runs on the Pioneers' pitcher, Brynn Wipert.
The Lady Cavs travel to Logan this afternoon.
